The Renishaw TRS2 laser tool setting (non-contact broken tool detection system) is a single-sided, non-contact, laser-based broken tool detection system. It provides high-speed, non-contact broken tool detection on solid tools on a wide range of vertical and horizontal machining centers, gantry machining centers and multifunctional machines. With the TRS2, reductions in scrap rates can be easily achieved and process control efficiencies can be easily achieved and the efficiency of process control can be dramatically improved.
